-world continues to revolve normally- But it’s kind of sad since for a couple years now she’s wanted a C-Class and when the CLA came out I thought she would get one.

The Camry was by far the better purchase over the CLA.

Meh. Camry is automotive vanilla but you can do much worse. The way I see the Camry is like Nickelback - extreme popularity and success, not offensive, reliable (same formula, over and over) and does the trick for most people.
The CLA is like a mullet gone wrong - all business in the front and the party in the back is already over and threw up on itself.

Better off with the Camry. Toyota is better at making cheap cars than Merc.

My ears find nickelback extremely offensive. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of the Camry but it’s by no means nickelback bad;)

I would have gone Accord myself but good for her! A Camry is definitely better that the CLA though because practicality built to a standard is always better than luxury built to a price.

We’re definitely a Toyota family. HAHA. After her TSX is gone now, it’s all Lexus/Toyota.
That is until I come back from school in Oklahoma and I ask for a Mustang and my dad gets a heart attack.
My dad is very brand loyal and has done much to make this Toyota/Lexus thing happen. Happened a couple years ago when he converted us all to iPhones and I got mine stolen and asked for a Note 2. He was furious.

I always thought the CLA was great until I saw the interior next to a C-Class interior. The CLA is ridiculously cheap looking.

Why does she insist on making her commute so bleh?

She has a long traffic-filled commute so I guess a manual is out of the question. I guess she needed an appliance more than a toy in a car buying kind of way.

The CLA has absolutely no practical merit against the Camry. Consider that the Camry:
-Costs less
-Has usable rear doors and rear seats
-Has more power than any non-AMG CLA
-Rides better
-Can be optioned to have everything a loaded CLA has
-Will last longer and cost less to own and maintain
-Will depreciate slower
-Looks great
OK, I didn’t really mean the last one, but forget about styling. The CLA can only sell lease on looks, and that’s if you even like it.
I am a big fan of using different cars for different purposes. The CLA is a big compromise of “luxury looks” at a low price point, and they got the “looks” and the “price point” right.

A TSX would of been a better choice.

Haha, like my dad and Volvos. When he was looking for a replacement on CL for his ancient 740 a few years back he was looking to spend no more than $5K and so found a nice ‘01 V70 T5 with 175K miles...I suggested a 9-5, a Bimmer, or a Merc but to no avail. Still, since then I’ve become a Volvo guy myself and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
For us it was the other way: my dad only uses PCs and Android products but I wanted an iPhone since all my friends have one as well and it would be more convenient to use the proprietary messenger and whatnot, so it took some convincing...

That should be their new ad for the Camry: “It’s not as bad as Nickelback!”
